Star Pets....Hetty!

This month's star pet is Hetty a 5 year old female Domestic Shorthair cat who has something of an allergy problem - it's a bit of a difficulty for an asthmatic cat that enjoys the outside world!

This month's star pet is Buffy - a 12 month old black and white Domestic Shorthair cat. Buffy's a member of a large multicat household and is very much loved by her Vampire Slayer watching owners.

News Article - the dangers of scavenging in the trash!

This news article follows that of other recent common pet poison news articles. It is a client friendly version of the regular articles produced for veterinary surgeons by the Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) based at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital. We often turn to the poisons scientists at VPIS for advice in cases of poisoning in client's pets.

Star Pets.... Gizmo!

This month's star pet is Gizmo a black and white, 2 year old, domestic shorthair cat. Gizmo has been an excellent patient and very tolerant of his treatment at the surgery but unfortunately he's not quite so co-operative at home - Gizmo's a master at getting round Elizabethan collars!

News Article - Changes to the Pet Travel Scheme

The Pet Travel Scheme is changing, please read the information below and contact the surgery for advice if you are thinking of travelling with your pet now or in the future. Whilst the Pet Travel Scheme allows movement of pets across our borders it should be remembered that travelling with pets to other parts of the EU presents other potential problems you may not have considered, for instance; the risk of contracting 'exotic diseases' not present in the UK, consideration of the stress involved in travelling long distances and consideration of what happens if you pet becomes ill whilst abroad.

This month's star pet is Elite, a boisterous and much loved eight year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who was suffering from a very common and life threatening problem affecting older, un-neutered bitches.

This month's star pet is Toby, a 5 year old German Wire Haired Pointer, whose uncharacteristically calm behaviour on presentation to the surgery suggested he was definitely not feeling his usual self!

Homes wanted!

We've got two RSPCA rescued kittens that urgently need good homes. They both have required treatment for upper respiratory tract disease (cat flu) - specifically really severe eye infections.
