Platinum Pet Club

We are pleased to introduce our Platinum Pet Club for senior citizen pet owners.
Our aim is to offer the best veterinary care for all pets and this new club is open to any owner over the age of 60 years. For a £10 annual subscription fee (for up to two pets) you will receive a 10% discount from all veterinary bills at our surgery including routine treatments such as boosters and worming treatments. You can even use your exclusive card to get the same discount from pet food or a new toy!
NB: membership numbers so far = 39!
Coffee morning update 20/04/08
Thank you to all those who attended the Platinum Pet Club Easter Coffee morning held on the 20th April.
We raised a total of exactly £100.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Platinum members Mr. & Mrs. Bridges kindly set up shop in the consulting room to sell their home crafts. Mr. Bridges produces wood turning items and Mrs. Bridges makes decorative cards. All were very popular and half of proceeds went to Macmillan.
There was as usual plenty of coffee and cakes (including a very popular Simnel cake). Mr. Tindale's chocolate and orange cake and Miss Bennett's pavlova also disappeared pretty quickly! Mr. Sanbrook won the raffle and went home very happy with a large Easter Egg!
Membership currently stands at 39.
It was suggested the next meeting in the summer could be outdoors (on the car park in front of the surgery) - to include a BBQ and bring-and-buy in aid of MacMillan. Any other suggestions or assistance in organizing or advertising would be gratefully received. Please contact Jane at the surgery.
The next meeting is scheduled for 12pm Saturday 12th July. We'll keep you updated on progress!
Coffee morning update 14/12/07
Thank you to all those who attended the Platinum Pet Club Christmas Coffee morning on the 14th December.
We raised a total of £66.30 for Macmillan Cancer Support - the charity Platinum Pet members suggest we endorse.
Every one who attended seemed to enjoy themselves greatly (probably aided by the coffee and brandy). It was nice to see some new faces and friends of existing members. It is always interesting to discover that everyone seems to know everyone else!
Membership keeps increasing - currently standing at 35.
We are hoping to continue quarterly meetings; at this rate we may soon outgrow the waiting room venue!
We appreciate our Platinum Members opinions. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improvements to the quarterly meetings, themes or topics you'd like to discuss. Which day is best for members? What times? The meetings are in their infancy and it is the members who can shape their future. Ultimately we'd like the meetings to be organised and run (with our support) by Platinum Club members, with proceeds going to Macmillan.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Easter - Thursday 20th March at 11.00am, we'll remind you all nearer the time.
Coffee morning update 26/09/07
Thank you to all those who attended our first Platinum coffee morning.
It was nice to see familiar faces and have the chance for an informal chat. We really enjoyed it (a welcome break from the usual routine!) and we hope that you enjoyed the meeting too (and the coffee and the cakes!). We're glad of suggestions how we can develop the Platinum Club and we're pleased that getting members together for a chat and a cuppa was popular.
Following the success of the first coffee morning we hope the next will be at 11.00am on Friday 14th December 2007
