News Article - Lilly comes home!!

18 April 2012

We have a heartwarming story for you this week that follows a client coming in to see us to report that Lilly, a domestic shorthair cat, had come home after being missing for 3 years!

Lilly had been microchipped and even though her owner had moved address since her escape 3 years ago she was still traceable. Lilly had been living in an elderly gentleman's garden for those missing years. He was taken ill recently and Lilly was taken into a local veterinary practice where she was scanned for a microchip and then reunited with her original owner. We are pleased to report that Lilly is doing well and glad to be home!

Microchipping is recommended for all pet animals (especially dogs and cats) as collars and identity tags can fall off or go missing. It only costs £15.00 and is done during a routine appointment with either a Veterinary Surgeon or Veterinary Nurse.

Stories like Lilly's remind us it is money well spent!
